 Welcome to the City of Beverly Hills Housing Webpage

The City is committed to encouraging a wide range of housing options and administering programs to meet needs of the Beverly Hills community.  This webpage provides an overview of the various housing resources in the community with links to more information and contact information for relevant staff. 


Rent Stabilization Program

The Rent Stabilization Program is responsible for administering the City’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance. This includes procedures on the following:

  • The rental unit registration process
  • Appeals and hearings
  • Relocation fees
  • Landlord rent adjustment applications
  • Evictions
  • Mediation services
  • Collaborating with other city programs/divisions including Code Enforcement and the Human Services Divisions.

Human Services Division Programs

The mission of the Human Services Division is to provide a crucial safety net for members of our community most in need of help. Information on our community partners, including housing and homeless services can be found here.

Bet Tzedek Housing Rights Legal Services

    • Bet Tzedek, a legal aid law firm provides free legal consultations and assistance on housing issues to individuals who live in the City of Beverly Hills, and who meet financial eligibility criteria.

Handy Worker Program

    • Through a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), free minor home repairs for renters and home owners are available for low-income seniors and disabled adults.

Affordable Housing Units for Sale and Rent

The Community Development Department administers the affordable housing units available in the City of Beverly Hills. This includes several affordable rental units that are available to members of the public that meet certain income criteria.  If you would like to read more about the affordable units or the process for application, or check if there are any units available at this time please visit www.beverlyhills.org/affordablehousing .  To put your name on the interested party list please email ttway@beverlyhills.org.


Community Preservation

The Community Preservation Program is dedicated to ensuring that housing, property maintenance and zoning laws remain in compliance so that safe and equitable quality of life is maintained to the highest level.

Community Preservation is responsible for providing code compliance guidance and enforcement of the Beverly Hills Municipal Code, local and State laws.
